Boo Bash Halloween Party
Get ready for a frightfully fun evening at Explore Children's Museum! Join us for our very first Boo Bash Halloween Party, a special after-hours celebration filled with Halloween fun for the whole family.
Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy an evening of hands-on play, spooky (but not scary!) activities, and festive family fun. Dance to Halloween music, march in our Costume Parade, create Halloween-themed art and projects in our Make & Create Labs, explore hands-on activity stations, enjoy tasty snacks, enter to win a fun Boo Basket raffle, and capture the memories at our special Halloween photo opportunity.
Boo Bash is a private ticketed event, giving families exclusive access to the museum for a magical Halloween celebration. The museum will be closed to the general public during the event and open only to Boo Bash ticket holders. All attendees, including both children and adults, must have a ticket to attend.

Revvin’ into 2027: Noon Year’s Eve at Explore Children’s Museum!
Say goodbye to 2026 and ring in the new year Explore-style! Join us for our fifth annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration - a joyful daytime bash designed just for families.
Date: Thursday December 31, 2026
Time; 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Celebrate with a noon countdown and a HUGE balloon drop, plus party music, dancing, make and take activities, light snacks, and a sparkling juice toast to welcome 2027 with joy and play!
This special event is a private celebration - the museum will be closed to the general public and open only to ticket holders. Everyone attending - kids and adults - must have a ticket.
Tickets go on sale in December. Don’t miss this high-energy, memory-making way to wrap up the year!

The Sky’s the Limit: Night at the Museum is Explore Children’s Museum’s most impactful and inspiring event of the year! This adults-only evening celebrates the power of play and supports our mission to provide children and families with meaningful educational opportunities through hands-on learning and play.
As Explore continues to expand our impact, we’re dreaming bigger about the ways we can serve more children, more families, and more communities. Your support of Night at the Museum helps make that growth possible while strengthening the exhibits, programs, and accessible learning opportunities at the heart of everything we do.
This year’s theme, The Sky’s the Limit, celebrates where we’re headed and the possibilities ahead. Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring entertainment, an inspiring impact video, silent auction, paddle raise, delicious hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and a signature cocktail.
Come celebrate how far Explore has come in the last five years - and help us reach even higher. When children are given opportunities to explore, imagine, learn, and play, the sky truly is the limit!

Kids Fest 2027: A Celebration of Kids, Creativity, and Color!
Join us for a free, fun-filled day dedicated to kids and the joy of play! Kids Fest brings together families for an unforgettable celebration featuring:
✨ Explore Children’s Museum exhibits
🎶 Live music & bubbles
🍴 Food trucks with tasty eats for purchase
🌈 And the grand finale - our annual Color Splash Party!
The Color Splash Party is messy, magical, and full of color! Participants toss “Splash Packs” - small muslin bags filled with vibrant chalk powder - at each other in a burst of color and laughter. It’s playful chaos and pure joy as kids (and adults!) end the day covered in beautiful hues.
Kids Fest 2027 will be on Saturday July 24 from 10am - 1pm at the Sun Prairie Dream Park. Stay tuned for updates in our monthly e-newsletter, on social media, and during your next visit to the museum.
