Katey Kamoku, Executive Director
I have been an educator in one capacity or another for 20 years. I have been a special education teacher in Sun Prairie School District, a preschool teacher at Sun Prairie Nursery School, and an in-home daycare provider.
I am thrilled to be a part of Explore Children’s Museum of Sun Prairie. Children’s museums are built to spark children’s imaginations, allow them to follow their passions and discover new passions, a place where children can show us how they play and in doing so, how their brains are developing. Explore Children’s Museum is a community hub; a place for families to enjoy one another, expand and explore their knowledge, develop skills and connect with their community and the world around them.
My own four children are my inspiration today and every day. They were the “market research team” during the research phase of Explore Children’s Museum and still enjoy spending afternoons playing, “working”, and creating at Explore Children’s Museum. I am proud to spend my days creating a space for my children, and all the children in our community, to learn through play. Children give me hope for our collective future.
Taylor Delmore, Director of Operations
My name is Taylor Delmore and I live in Sun Prairie with my husband MJ, our daughter Rory, and our golden doodle Calvin. I graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with my degree in Elementary Education. Before joining the Explore team, I was a teacher in the Sun Prairie Area School District.
I am grateful to be a part of Explore Children’s Museum and the opportunities it provides for our youngest community members and their families. I am passionate about the work we do at Explore to create a space that inspires creativity, exploration, engagement, and fun. Connecting with families and witnessing children learn and grow through play brings me so much joy and fuels my passion to continue the vital work it takes to make sure Explore Children’s Museum remains a resource for families for years to come.
Nina Knorr, Director of Development
Nina serves as the Director of Development at Explore Children's Museum where she leads fundraising, donor engagement, grant development, and corporate partnerships. With more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, she is passionate about connecting individuals, businesses, and foundations with opportunities to invest in children's learning through the power of play. Throughout her career, Nina has successfully secured grants, strengthened donor relationships, led annual giving campaigns, and developed strategic partnerships that expand access to educational opportunities for children and families.
With roots in communications and education, Nina brings a collaborative and mission-driven approach to philanthropy and is dedicated to building meaningful relationships and fostering a culture of giving that centers children and families.
Nina looks forward to connecting with the community to ensure the growth of Explore so that all children can access high quality learning opportunities and play!

Kayla Jensen, President
As a proud Sun Prairie resident since 2020, I am thrilled to be on the Board of Directors at Explore Children's Museum. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Education degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu. I started my career as a classroom teacher in Hawai'i before working in the education non-profit space in the San Francisco Bay Area. I finally moved back to my home state of Wisconsin a decade ago and have been working in college admissions ever since.
Explore Children's Museum has been an important space for my family (including my husband and two young kids) since it opened. I am eager to continue to support the mission of having a safe, accessible space for children to play and learn. As a parent, I've loved connecting with other caregivers, attending music classes, and hosting my kids' birthday parties at ECM. Already a pillar in the community, I am committed to helping ECM deepen its roots and expand its impact.
Elizabeth Knudten, Secretary
My name is Elizabeth Knudten. I live in Sun Prairie with my husband David and our three children, Anna, Claire, and Julia. I graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Elementary Education and have a Masters Degree from UW in Educational Leadership.
Since 2004, I have been deeply involved with early childhood education in Sun Prairie. I have seen early childhood education from many angles; a parent, a teacher, and the program director at Sun Prairie Nursery School. Then, in 2018, I took on the role of SP4K Program Supervisor for the Sun Prairie School District overseeing all 4-year-old kindergarten programs in the district.
I believe that childhood should be filled with purposeful play experiences, and full hands-on learning that engages the whole body and all the senses. Explore Children's Museum is such a treasure for the children and families of Sun Prairie. I am honored to be a part of this amazing resource that is focused on providing creative ways to engage children's brains, hearts, and hands in learning.
Josh Page
I am a dedicated professional with a background in early childhood education and a passion for child development. With over 15 years of teaching preschool at Country Creek Learning Center, I have honed my skills in nurturing young minds and fostering growth. Transitioning into the real estate industry, I now channel my expertise into helping families find their dream homes, leveraging my understanding of family dynamics and needs.
Outside of work, I treasure spending time with my wife and two daughters, indulging in leisurely walks, and cherishing moments with friends and family.
Kathleen LaBeau
I graduated from Northern Illinois University in Communication Disorders and Counseling, and then from University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a Masters of Special Education and an Early Childhood teaching certificate. I taught in the Madison Metro School District for a number of years, until I paused to stay home and be with my then young family. Since 2016 I have been a preschool and 4K teacher at Sun Prairie Nursery School.
I have lived in Sun Prairie with my family (husband and 3 children) since 2005. Quality early childhood experiences are vital to development, and Sun Prairie is so fortunate to have Explore Children's Museum as an educational resource. I am excited to bring my early childhood teaching experiences and join the Explore Museum Board as we work together to support the playing and learning that our community of young learners deserve.
Libby Connor
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a degree in Child Development. I then attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology earning an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology. I worked as a School Psychologist in Fond du Lac for one year and in Sun Prairie at Eastside Elementary and Patrick Marsh Middle School for five years. I then stayed home to care for our young children. My husband and I have three kids now aged 12, 11 and 9. We’ve lived in Waunakee for 13 years. Our kids are very active and we’ve enjoyed engaging with the Waunakee community through sports programs, Girl Scouts, the library, Waunakee Food Pantry and more. I’m excited to help bring Explore Children’s Museum to Waunakee. It will be a wonderful resource for all families with young children to learn through play.
My interests include hiking, cooking, college basketball, and spending lots of time in the northwoods. I taught our kids how to wakeboard recently and it’s been great fun watching their enjoyment of it and learning new tricks.
Stephanie Leonard
As a public educator and Sun Prairie resident, I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors for Explore Children's Museum. My husband Scott and I love living in Sun Prairie, and while our children, Madeline and Chet, are now grown and living in the Milwaukee area, our rescue dog, Bailey, keeps our empty nest lively!
My lifelong commitment to education began at Bowling Green State University, where I earned my undergraduate degree in elementary education. I later completed master’s degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Leadership, as well as a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from UW–Madison. Over a 33-year career as a teacher, principal, director, and assistant superintendent, I have collaborated closely with governance boards to broaden educational opportunities for all students.
The mission of Explore Children's Museum, to provide meaningful opportunities through purposeful play to promote lifelong learning, resonates deeply with my passion for early childhood education. High-quality, play-based experiences give our youngest learners the strong foundation they need prior to kindergarten, setting them up for long-term growth and success.
Emily Morheouse is the principal of Heritage Elementary School in Waunakee, where she is passionate about creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where children feel safe, connected, and excited to learn. Throughout her career in education and school leadership, she has been an advocate for meaningful learning experiences and for thinking outside the box to meet the unique needs of every child. Central to her work is a commitment to equity and ensuring that all children have access to the opportunities, experiences, and support they need to thrive.
As both an educator for 20 years and a parent of two children, Emily believes deeply in the power of play and hands-on experiences to help children learn about themselves, one another, and the world around them. She is especially excited to support the Children’s Museum in its work to create engaging and accessible experiences for children and families throughout the community.
Emily lives in Sun Prairie with her husband and two children. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying active.
